Mexico Retirement

Mexico is one of those countries closest to the USA in the South. While there are numerous Mexicans who cross the boarder to live the American dream, little did they know that a tantamount of American retirees is also plaguing their country. Why? Because Mexico has it all low cost of living, unspoiled beach and other natural land and water formations, rich in culture and a great window of opportunity for investment. Mexico 's climate wherein it is sunny for the most part is an excellent reason on why retirees flock to this country.

Although the main language is Spanish, there are retirement areas wherein people are mostly English speaking. But if you choose to make the most out of your stay in Mexico then you should learn even basic Spanish which is actually not a hard language to learn. If you know English and Spanish then chances of obtaining work is big; being an expat you should obtain needed employment papers for you to be eligible to work in Mexico .

The economy is strong and the government is finding ways in making its foreign and trade investment sturdy. Investing in real estate is a very good idea for expatriates, whether a retiree plans to buy a beach front lot or a Cliffside villa or a hacienda, he is rest assured that he's doing the right thing.

The culture of Mexico is very rich and vibrant that you won't notice that you've already fallen in love with it. It naturally seduces locals and foreigners alike to never stop loving the place. The country has a laid back aura and the people are very warm and friendly. Best of all, you don't need to spend a fortune to live a luxurious life in this country. Affordability is one of the main attractions why a lot of retirees choose to live in this place.

Healthcare in Mexico is excellent in terms of services, pharmaceutical needs and healthcare itself. Most of the doctors here had received part of their training in the USA so you can be sure that you're receiving utmost care and supervision in your medical needs.

To retire in Mexico, you have to obtain an immigrant permit in the Mexican consulate. The process is very simple once you know what type of immigration most suits you and your family. There are actually three types of visas available; the FM1- maximum duration of 6 months in Mexico with a non-immigrant status, FM2- immigrant visa and FM3- long term non-immigrant visa.
